The Burton march continues as the crew pushed the play into November for the first time ever. Here�s Lee to tell you about it:

Hockey. Stats. Back like the bad motherfucker Burton hockey is.
I'll get right to the point 'cause I'm pretty sore. The rink was in pretty rough shape. Leaves and needles and shit, plus a little water made the corners treacherous. Despite this, it was a fast paced session. Toughly contested, and even though some games were blowout, the teams always felt even. As the session went on, it just got better. After a loss in the second series, Pat was so upset he smashed one of Burton�s goal nets to pieces. After some quick tape work, and some wood, it's back like a bad motherfucker. Just like Burton hockey. A much better one than last session, perhaps the last. But you never know...

First series: Lee-Seamus-Graeme-Brady vs. Pat-Justin-KJ-Ollie-Chris. First game, Lee's team loses 5-3. Then we came back with a vengeance smashing them 5-1. The final game was tight all the way, Lee's team losing 5-4 on a crazy 20 foot chip from Justin that Brady came out to play and the spin deked by him. Tough way to lose, but what can you do. Unless your like Pat, then you can smash the net to pieces. Seamus was in on every single point the team scored.
Second Series: Lee-Justin-K.J Chris vs Seamus-Graeme-Ollie-Pat-Brady. Lee's team came out strong and then fizzled, losing 5-2. Digging in, they won the next game handily, 5-1. The final was again a close contest, with Lee's team winning 5-4.
It was getting dark fast, but everybody still wanted to play, so we threw the sticks in the middle and played Graeme-Justin-Ollie-Lee-Brady vs. Seamus-Pat-KJ-Chris. Another extremely tight game, it was 3-3 when we decided to go into overtime. After about 10 shots, Justin finally cracked Chris and scored the winner.

Seamus played a great session, made some brilliant passes, I'd give him the MVP. He was in on every single point his team scored in the first and second series. That's quite a feat.

As for overall 2004 MVP, it really is a crapshoot with Justin, Seamus, Lorne, Nathan, Chris, Bernie, Lee and Oliver all in contention. Seamus finished with 10 goals and 11 assists to take the day in scoring. K.J. and Lee share second star with identical 12-6-18-28 tallies. Chris beat Brady in net .782-.732. Useless Stats: Seamus� brilliant session combined with Justin�s not-so-brilliant session has tightened the season scoring race up quite nicely. Seamus goes over the 200-point mark to narrow the gap to 216-203. K.J. passes Oliver for fifth and is two points behind Robert for fourth, 159-157-153. Graeme needs three points for his first 100-point season, and Lee leaps into ninth passing both Bernie and Laird in points (pretty good for 29 games). K.J. is just three goals behind Lorne for second while Seamus breaks the 100-goal mark. Pat passes Oliver for sixth in goals while Graeme needs two for fifty. Seamus also hits the 100-assist mark for 2004, six ahead of Ollie. Pat passes Rob for fifth in assists and is just one behind Lorne, 71-70. Justin hits 500 shots for the year and Seamus hits 400. K.J. needs 18 for 400. Oliver reaches 300. Lee passes Jared for first in shooting percentage and K.J. passes Dallas for third. Chris reaches 700 saves. Justin is two behind and Oliver is just four games behind Bernie for the season lead, 101-99-97. Graeme ties Nathan for fourth with 88. Brady passes Lyle for fifth in games goaltended. Seamus ties Justin for the lead in three-star points. On the all-time front, Oliver barely closes the gap between himself and Lorne for the all-time lead to 792-773. Justin needs 19 points for 500 and 43 to catch Bernie for third in points. Seamus ties Laird for sixth in points and needs 22 for 400. K.J. becomes the 13th player to reach 200 points and is 20 points behind Simon. Pat passes Ryan Adshead for 14th with Graeme four points behind Ryan. Lee is also 14 goals behind Justin for third. Seamus needs seven goals for 200. K.J. is six goals behind Joern for 11th. Justin ties Laird for fourth in all-time assists. Seamus needs 15 assists for 200. Lee is 18 shots behind Justin for third. K.J. reaches 500 shots. Chris passes Lyle for fourth in saves. Oliver is 13 behind Bernie for the lead in all-time games played while Justin is eight behind Joern for fifth. K.J. passes 100 games and Pat needs 11 to do the same. Chris passes Nathan for third in games goaltended and is just five behind Joern for second, 103-98. Lee passes Justin to move into second in three-star points all-time while Seamus passes Robert for fifth and K.J. passes Bernie for eleventh. Lee is now tied with Justin for second in all-time ten-goal sessions with 13 and is just one behind Oliver for 15-point sessions with 18. Seamus is fifth with 12. These are Seamus and Lee�s third straight 15-pointer. Seamus becomes just the fourth player to record three straight 20-pointers. This is Chris� third straight 80-save performance and sixth total (fourth all-time). Justin�s 132 goals is third all-time for a single season. Chris� 710 saves is third all-time in a single season. Oliver plays his ninth consecutive session while Justin, Pat and K.J. all reach five. Robert regains the top ranking on the SDF (and becomes the first person to go over 4) but that will shortlived as he only has fifteen games left on the ranking. Seamus passes Lee to move into fourth. No big changes on the GDF as Chris opens his lead further over Nathan. Brady leaps to fourth while K.J. falls off the GDF.

Burton Cup: Seamus pulls Republic Of Ireland further away from Government Hill 262-227 as it looks like Ireland is on its way to claiming the 2004 Cup. Easton Aluminum and Ukrainian Team Bourque pull ahead of North Kootenay Falcons into fourth, 166-161-159 as Lee looks poised to put the Bourques into third next session. Let�s hope the guys can get another session in before the snow falls!
