With Ryan at the top of his game it was hard finding balance in the teams, especially at the end when it was Andy and Ryan pitted against the rest. Bernie's broken down seventy two soft wheels didn't help the matter either. As always we conclude that "Boy it felt great to play again", and "That sunshine was sure glorious", oh and perhaps a, "hopefully we can keep this ball rolling". As it looks right now, this weekend could spell another session, with perhaps a return of a certain Czech goalie we all know and love.

Thanks, Stef! Well, the longest streak of any sort in Burton Hockey history is now snapped. Rob Hajdu played the first 487 games of his career without once stepping in goal before finally donning the pads tonight. The new record holder? Why, it’s Ryan Disterheft at 424 games. Andrew Smart is second at 333, and Mitch Detta ranks third at 320. Speaking of Ryno, it was a goalscoring onslaught from everyone’s favourite hockey-playing DJ with 19G in just six games, a new Burton best for the season so far. Throw in 6A, and you’ve got the first VRH 25-pointer of the year by someone not named Smart. Both the 25P and 19G are career highs for one of the all-time great VRH veterans. Ryno played with Tony in the first two series and Andrew in the final series, and it’s no surprise that those two easily took third star and second star, respectively. In goal, Dom shook off a .643 in the first series to climb all the way to .795. Along the way, he set a rather interesting record by recording the first one-shot shutout in Burton Hockey history. As for net debutante Rob, he was victorious in his first-ever series goaltended but came back down to a .609.

Tony is just four points behind Seamus for fifth, 64-60, with Jordan at 58 and Bernie at 55. Stefan finally breaks into the top ten after his long-awaited return from a cross-continental vacation... Andy opens his goalscoring lead on Rob to 73-63, while Ryan jumps to third at 59 and Tony is knocking on the door of the top five... SDF/GDF: We have a new number one on the SDF. Ryan routing the field was just enough to knock Andrew’s rating down below that of Seamus and Kellan, giving Seamus the number one ranking for the first time since 2008. It’s absurdly tight between the top three... Ryan jumps up four spots to seventh; Stefan falls four to ninth... With Dom backing up instead of moving forward tonight, Bron is able to easily tie Nathan Robson for fourth in GDF rankings led at 26, including the last seven in a row. Justin falls below the session minimum and drops from fourth to eighth, although with a midweek BUSH session promised, Justin has been hinting about a return.
