-Glorious sunshine scale: 9/10 (couldn't have been much more gloriously sunny)
-Temperature scale: 5/10 (starting to get into the too hot range)

-New players scale: 0/10
-Return of long absent regulars scale: 8.5/10 (not regulars, but both Neil and Thom Gysler return)
-Evenness of teams/series scale: 8.7/10 (aside from the first game, teams as even as it gets)
-Session intensity scale: 8.5/10 (most intense grinding session of the year for sure exemplified by Game 3 which lasted well over an hour)
-Session openness / offensiveness scale: 4/10
-Domination by one player scale: 4.5/10 (pretty even today but newcomer Neil certainly made his presence felt)
-Redemptions Achieved Scale: 8.4/10 (huge comebacks for Team Dom in both game 2 & 3, then redemption for Team Stu by winning the final game)
-Epicness of Games Scale: 8.7/10 (Games 2, 3 & 4 all epic sudden death matches)
-Exceptional goaltending performance scale: 9/10 (54 saves by Dom and 37 by Stu in the same game... enough said)
-Length of session scale: 8/10 (only 4 games but they dragged on for over 3 hours and left everyone absolutely exhausted)
-Fun of session scale: 7/10 (another great day out at Ambleside)
-Chance of future sessions in coming weeks scale: 7/10 (despite the loss of a regular, numbers should be solid enough to sustain VRH for the foreseeable future)

Thanks, Bern! What a huge day for Dom, as he crushed the shooters today with one of his greatest goaltending performances ever (which says a lot for Burton Hockey's all-time leading everything in net volume-wise). The Dominator posted a stunning .896 on 147 saves to finish with a 1043 PPS (the highest PPS posted in Burton Hockey since October 2011 and the highest in VRH since April 2011). Not faring too badly himself was Stuart, who was an outstanding .865 on 90 saves. Neil's return was triumphant indeed as he led the day with 7G-7A. Rob Hajdu and Tom Slivinski were joint second stars with 11P each.

Season Stats: With two of the leading scorers missing today's session, Stefan takes back the scoring lead from Darrel Voser, 61-55. Tom moves ahead of the absent Andrew Smart into third, 45-44. Tony, Rob, and Ryan complete the top seven... Darrel still holds a large lead in goalscoring, with Tom passing Stefan to move into second, 26-25... The brothers Hajdu are tied for fifth in goals... Stefan extends his assist lead over Andy to 36-28; Rob enters the top five at 13, knocking the long-absent Sam off the leaderboard... Stefan takes the shots-on-goal lead from Darrel, 154-152; Tom ties Andy for third at 137... Neil debuts second in shooting percentage behind Darrel... Dom passes Stu for the season goaltending lead, .851-.842, and for the saves lead, 458-433... With Andy and Darrel missing the session, that leaves Dom, Stefan, Bernie, and Stu as the last four players to have played every game of every session; Tom has also played in every session but has missed five games... Stu leads Dom in shutouts, 2-1... Tom ties Sam for fourth in three-star points with 20... Stu leads Dom in both goalie star points and total star points, 60-55... Neil debuts in the PPG lead at 3.50, dethroning Darrel... Neil debuts second in GPG behind Darrel, followed by Tom, Stefan, and Rob... Neil debuts in the APG lead ahead of Stefan, 1.75-1.71... Rob passes Andy for third in shots-per-game; there are six players averaging 8.00 or higher... Dom takes back the saves-per-game lead from Stuart with 21.81... Neil's 14 points ties for the fifth-highest scoring session of the year... Tom and Neil's seven goals tie for the fourth-highest goal totals of the year... Rob's 41 shots on goal rank third-best in sessions this year... Dom's .896 is easily tops so far this year; Stu's .865 places third... Dom's 147 saves blows the previous season best out of the water; Stu's 90 rank fifth... Dom's 1043 PPS is the best mark of the past four seasons; Stu's 955 is fourth-best this year.
SDF/GDF: As all of the BUSH players are now under the session minimum, this puts VRHers all alone at the top. Andrew narrowly regains the top spot for the 37th time in his career ahead of Darrel; one more ranking led ties Andy with Lorne Bilinski for second all-time. Tom and Stefan are close behind in third and fourth, respectively; Neil debuts in tenth... With Bron's final hurrah atop the GDF (enough to make him the all-time rankings leader with 37 rankings led, one more than Seamus), the battle is now on for Dom and Stu – the only two goalies who will be left eligible thanks to their monopolisation of the Burton nets – to lead the next ranking.
