In a word: Nathan. We thought Simon coming out of his three-year retirement would be the big story. Not even close. Nathan Robson far and away proved himself as the greatest Burton goaltender of all-time, destroying the session saves record with an insane 206 saves, not to mention the .880 save percentage he garnered-the third-best percentage ever and easily the best this season. Poor Laird. His 148 saves (third all-time) and .860 save percentage (second-best this year) went otherwise unnoticed. While the shooters may not have enjoyed this day, it was one of the most entertaining and fast-paced sessions ever and is certainly one to remember, especially due to the rare absence of Ollie (who receives a special Nocturnal Bitch award), giving Bernie the much-coveted all-time games played crown. Laird picked up a shutout in the first game to help himself, Lee, Lorne, snd Simon to a 2-1 series victory to start things off. Family bonds couldn't help the Bilinskis and Orrs in the second series, however as they lost to Justin, Stefan, Nathan, Simon and Bernie 2-1 in the second series. The Stefan-Bernie combo blew three consecutive 5-1 leads during the first two series. Another game was played with Laird, Lee, Justin and Stefan winning 5-2. Also going unnoticed was Lee tying the all-time assists record with 16. He led the day with 8G and 16A, his record tenth consecutive 15-point session. Justin also set a record with five straight ten-goal sessions (11G, 9A). The real lighting-up was in the shots category with Lorne posting 98 (second all-time), Lee, 88 and Justin, 81, the three best performances of the season.

Useless Stats: Lee cut Lorne's season scoring lead in half (165-157) and jumped all the way from sixth to third in all-time shots ahead of Stefan, Joern and Bernie (who fell from fourth to sixth). Lee needs one point for 300 and five to pass Laird for fifth all-time in scoring. Justin passed Simon for ninth all-time in scoring and is averaging over ten shots per game this season.
