Another stellar session of Burton hockey took place on Monday night that saw the return of Pat from his arm injury as well as Gavin and Karl, one of the main forces behind the repaving of the John McCormack Park rink. Eight games were played, and the new gentlemen's agreement on quick line changes and substitutions worked brilliantly as the action was hard and fast-paced. Pat was even checking people by the end of the session, and Gavin's wheels busted causing him to spill eight times (two off of Oliver's record). Backed by Laird in net, Lorne, Oliver, Bernie, Pat and Karl took the first series 2-1 over Justin, Graeme, Nathan, Gavin and K.J. Nathan wasn't too impressed by his performance Monday but he did pull off a shutout in the second series and, as usual, pulled off some huge saves as did Laird. Bernie, K.J., Karl, Justin and Nathan won the second series 2-1 over Lorne, Oliver, Laird, Gavin, Pat and Graeme. The third series between Bernie, K.J., Graeme, Lorne, Nathan and Justin, Karl, Oliver, Laird, Gavin and Pat was tied 1-1 when it became apparent that it was too dark. A short three-goal overtime was played with Justin scoring the first two and Gavin putting home the winner for his team to take the series. Overall, a much better session than Thursday's. Robert missed Monday's session due to pneumonia; it was discovered he played the past week with a 104-degree temperature. K.J.'s 15 goals helped him to win the day with 21 points, barely beating Lorne and Justin, each with 20. Oliver returned in full force with 11 assists, a season high. As fot the goalies, Laird stopped 135 shots, the fourth-highest all-time for one session; he beat Nathan .819-.775. Nathan posted another shutout, it is his second of the season.

Useless Stats: With Robert away, Lorne and Justin will play. Lorne leads all scorers this year with 57 points, with Justin close behind at 48. The same goes for goals, it is 31-29 with K.J. already closing in with 24. Lorne leads the assists 26-19 over Justin with Nathan-yes, a goaltender-tied with Oliver for third with 14. Karl is now the shooting percentage leader this year with 27.7%. Laird, at .830, is running away with the goaltending race. Five players (Nathan, Lorne, Justin, Bernie, Graeme) have played all twenty games this year, though due to the tournament in the second session, Nathan has twenty-two games under his belt. Looking at the all-time stats, Seamus reclaims his goaltending over Nathan, .818-.816. Laird has now moved into fourth all-time in assists, tied with Joern at 180. Lorne moves ahead of Joern into fourth in games played, putting him only behind the Koth-Kappi and Laird. Nathan leapfrogs Chris and Shawn and is now sixth in games goaltended. In the next session, he should also overtake Lyle for third on the all-time save list. Justin moves past Joe into seventh in shots and is bound to catch Joern next session. More importantly, Justin has passed Stefan for eight in points and is only one behind JC, eleven behind Laird and 19 behind Joern for fifth, allr eachable within one good session. K.J. passes Aaron and Jackson to move into 16th in the all-time scoring race; he is poised to become the fifteenth player to hit 100 points. Patrick now enters the top thirty in scoring; Gavin the top forty.
