When he's not coaching the Nakusp Falcon midgets to a provincial championship tournament, keeping patrons of the Three Lions Pub well-satiated, or obsessing over the latest happenings in the world of mixed martial arts, Ryan can be found backstopping the goal creases of the Nakusp arena.
Ryan also played a few sessions on skates way back in 2000. He had great speed and hands and his goalscoring was undeniable. He would prove this to be true again in May 2012 when he made a shocking return to skates after 12 years and placed in the three stars his first time out.
