This was a very unique session of Burton hockey with half of the participants making their debut. Many of you may be surprised to see that it took Andrew Cruden and Riley Weatherhead this long to make their Burton debuts. Throw in Troy, Jamie and Andrew Orr (no relation to Lee or Graeme) and this was a very unconventional session. Speaking of Lee:

This is going to be quick, 'cause I'm pretty hurtin, just played basketball AFTER hockey =).
In a nutshell, there was no counter point to Dallas. The only game we beat that motherfucker was a gritty effort from Anthony, Ollie, Jamie and Myself. A few new faces today, Andrew Orr, Jamie Coates, Troy Waldron, and Andrew Cruden played, and Riley played net due to some wicked blisters. And he certainly outdueled Chris, though it must be noted, Chris faced Dallas every single game, and I served up juicy gift after gift for Riley. I'm skipping my usual write-up to go straight to the stats, which speak for themselves. There it is, short and sweet, hopefully get a session going on the weekend! Thanks Kyle!

Useless Stats: It absolutely pains me to miss the debut of so many people but I am certain that I will see them in April when I return to the rink teach you all a statistical lesson. Dallas (13-11-24-55) and Anthor (14-7-21-34) really ran away with the show here. Lee was subpar by his standard but posted a respectable nine assists. Troy debuted here nicely with nine goals. Riley was outstanding in net with .829 while Dallas victimized Chris who had to settle for a measly .726. Riley also became the first goaltender this year to post a shutout. Dallas now holds the 2005 season scoring lead even after having missed the first session of the year. Anthony skyrockets from ninth to third and the absent OConnors fall to fourth. Dallas has a strong grip on the goals lead with Anthony moving up to second and Lee falling to fifth. Lee is still running away in assists with Dallas a distant second and Oliver in third. Anthony joins Kyle and Seamus in fifth. Dallas and Lee each go over 100 shots for the year with Dallas leading 144-114 and Anthony moving up to fourth. Troy debuts with the season lead in shooting percentage at 37.5%. Riley leads 2005 goalies with .829 while Chris drops to .775. Chris has goaltended every game this year. Lee and Oliver are the only skaters to have played all 22 games this year. Lee falls to fourth in PPG while Anthony moves up to fifth. Dallas falls into a tie with Justin for the lead in GPG at exactly 2.00 while Troy debuts in fifth. Dallass 24 points gives him the two highest scoring sessions this season so far; Anthonys ranks fifth. Anthonys 14 goals are second-best this year while Dallass 13 are third. Dallass 11 assists are fourth-highest this year, and his 55 shots are second-most. Rileys outstanding rookie goaltending session ranks as Burtons best of 2005 so far while Chris yeoman-like effort in net sees him with three of the five highest save counts. Dallas takes over the three-star lead from Lee 30-25. On the all-time front, Lee passes both Justin and Bernie to move into third in all-time scoring. Dallas is the second-fastest player ever to reach 100 points and has now moved to 17th all-time, 25 points behind Ryan Adshead. Anthony breaks into the top 30. Lee is seven goals behind Justin for third all-time. Dallas is five goals behind Graeme for 15th all-time. Anthony doubles his career goals total and moves up to 27th all-time. Dallas ties Nathan for 18th in assists and Anthony breaks the top 30 in assists. Lee needs seven shots for 1300 in his career. Chris needs just EIGHT saves to pass Nathan for second all-time. Oliver needs 16 games to be the first to reach 500. Lee ties Seamus for seventh in games while Chris needs 17 to tie Simon for tenth. Dallas just slightly falls behind Robert in all-time GPG but moves just ahead of him in all-time APG. Riley posts the third-best rookie goaltending session of all time. Dallas has led every session in scoring that hes ever played in and is 13th in three-star points after just four sessions. There have now been 71 players to step foot in Burton hockey. Dallas records his fourth-straight ten-goal session while Anthony goes back-to-back for the first time ever. Dallas sets what looks to be the first of many Burton records by becoming the first player to records three consecutive 10-assist sessions. Dallas records his fourth straight 15-pointer and Anthony goes back-to-back for 15. Lees streak of 15-pointers ends at six. Dallas posts his third consecutive 20-pointer and Anthony reaches 20 for the first time ever. Chris extends his record 80-save session streak to seven but his 90-save streak ends at three. Olivers consecutive session streak goes to 13 while Lees goes to eight and Chriss to seven. Justins and K.J.s both end at eight. On the SDF, Dallas pads his lead for the fourth straight session as Lee falls behind Seamus into third. Anthony passes Pat to move into seventh. Chris has a death grip on the GDF, his seventh-straight session there which ties a record held by Nathan. Riley debuts eighth. A momentous note is Lorne falling off of the ranking for the first time ever. Could it really be eleven sessions since hes played? The guard has changed in Burton. Chris continues to dominate the GDF as his rating goes back over .800. Lyle falls to fourth behind Brady.

Burton Cup: The absence of many traditional Burton players really shakes up the Burton Cup as Dallas leads the Falcons into first ahead of Lees Ukrainian Team Bourque. Anthor takes, well, Anthor to third while the New Breed and Andrew make their debuts. With five new players this session, the Rookie/Youth classification opens up with Troy taking the initial lead. What an insane, awesome start to the year it has been. Dallas is certainly showing domination we havent seen since Robert or the Dustins and Thor is coming into his own quite nicely. Itll be quite exciting to see what Riley does back on his feet. We want Dallas versus Robert versus Riley, right now!
