The Ambleside gang reformed quickly ater last week's excellent start to the season to carry forth the new season momentum. Here's the Kloppster to tell you more.

Here they be. 7 game session. Pretty good stuff... We are slowly figuring out which teams work and which don't.
Well it wasn't sunny as we had anticipated; however, it wasn't raining either so we were good to go. All the non West Van folk all arrived a little late, and we probably didn't start playing �til around 1:45pm.
First game was without Jason who was MIA as the game started. The game saw team Andrew, Bernie, Stefan beat the Orn's quite handedly, with Bron starting the game on a good note.
Second game saw the arrival of Jason to the Orn's which was a welcomed presence. He brought stability to the team and the added defensive presence they needed. They went on to win a close game that featured probably a good 20 minute overtime.
Third game was for the series and wasn't even a contest. The speedy team of Joern, Loern and Jason were on constant 2-1 or 2-0's and won the game without question 5-1.
We then switched up the teams, pitting Bernie, Jason and Stefan together against the Orns and Andrew. Teammates (both in the game and on the Moose) Jason and Stefan played well together and had points on every goal of the game, to take the first game of the series 5-3.
Game 5 saw more of the same with Bernie starting to hit his stride and finding the openings to have a 5 point game.
Game 6 we decided a goalie switch might even these teams up a little. This was, however, counter-productive as team Bernie, Jason, Stefan went on to win 5-0. One thing to note in this victory was the amazing play of Bron despite the loss. On numerous occasions on side to side passes, Bron would be there to make the stop with an amazing save.
Finally Game 7 saw new teams for one final match. Bernie, Lorne and Stefan were stacked up against Andrew, Jason and Joern. AJJ took the lead early with 3 quick goals. After that BLS slowed the game down and started to work for the ball a little harder and scored 4 unanswered goals to put them up 4-3. Momentum shifted one more time however as AJJ finally got back to their strength and netted the final two goals to finish off the session. The last game was played in a bit of rain, making for some difficult skating.
Things were capped off with a shootout which saw Andrew beat Carlos on the same move over and over again (this is 2 weeks running now!). Lorne had a couple pretty triple dekes. Stefan tried to be a superstar after scoring a Forsberg/Jokinen-esque goal by trying to pull off a Malik (shot wide) and a Bure (ended up spearing Carlos with his stick); humility was in the air. Lastly Jason was held without anything in the shootouts after his fantastic showing the week earlier.

Thank you, Stefan for your exemplary write-up. For the second-straight session, Stefan led the way with 12 goals and 13 assists to notch his first career 25-pointer. Had Jason played the first game, this could have been different, as he had 9 goals and 16 assists for 23 points. Bernie was impressive in picking up third star honours with 6G, 13A. Lorne led in goals with 13 but could only manage 5 assists. In net, both goalies were off a bit from last weekend; Carlos bested .769 to .764.

Useless Stats: Thanks to Jason missing the first game, Stefan is able to open up a slight lead early on in the season scoring race, 45-42. Bernie passes Joern for fourth in scoring and gains a wee bit o� ground on Lorne in third. Andrew moves ahead of Joern for fourth in goals. Joern plummets from first fourth in assists and Jason assumes the lead there. Lorne continues to lead the shots count and is just one shot shy of 100 for the year. Carlos leads the goaltending race .809-.784 over Bron. Jason actually is just ahead of Klopp for the points-per-game lead. New season session highs were set in points, goals and assists. On the all-time front, Lorne becomes the first player to reach 900 points, and 1000 could be coming up very soon. Bernie is only six points behind Justin for third all-time and 12 away from 600. Stefan is seven points behind Laird for sevenh in all-time scoring. Lorne needs 25 goals for 600. Stefan paases Joe for seventh in goals and is nine behind Bernie. Joern is eleven assists behind Laird for seventh, while Stefan reaches 200 assists. Lorne passes 2300 shots while Stefan needs two for 1200 and Bernie passes Seamus for sixth in shots. Jason has now played enough games to claim the all-time assists-per-game title over Nathan and Dallas. Bron falls to third in all-time save percentage, handing the lead back to Seamus. Carlos sits right behind Bron, .811-.809. Bernie is thirteen games behind Oliver for the all-time lead, 521-508, while Joern and Stefan approach 300 and 300 games, respectively. Jason�s 16 assists is tied for the fifth-highest all-time session total. Lorne records his thirtieth 10-goal session of his career, his third-straight. Stefan also has three straight. Jason has back-to-back ten-assist sessions. Stefan now has five straight 15-pointers and Lorne has three. Stefan also has three straight 20-pointers in full-length sessions. Stefan hits 25 points and Jason hits 20 points for the first time. Bernie now has the fourth double-digit consecutive session streak of his career, while Joern is at seven and Lorne six. Carlos and Bron Both have back-to-back 80-save sessions. On the SDF, Jason�s excellent PPG has placed him on top ahead of Seamus and Stefan; he is the first exclusively VRH player to do so. Jason and Stefan could be battling for the top spot all season. The BUSH crew is now almost completely gone from the SDF. Over on the GDF, Bron passes Laird for first with Carlos moving into third and poised to move up even higher.
