BUSH continued supplying their high shot-volume, freewheeling style of Burton hockey this weekend. Here's Lee to almost tell you about it.
From the hallowed halls of Burton hockey, come more stats.
7 games today. And 5 different series, so I'm not going to do the
series by series write-up. The stats tell the story anyway. Chris
played great, finishing 5-2 and rebounding from last session in style.
Nathan also played well, putting up his usually massive volume of
saves.
Wins/Losses
Lee 6-1
Seamus 4-3
Mitch 3-4
Olli 4-3
Andrew C 1-6
Graeme 3-4
Thanks for the stats, Lee. Its good to see Lee rediscovering his 2003 form after an injury-plagued 2004 and 2005. His 28 points (14G, 14A, 67S) is the best offensive session this year. Seamus also kept nice form with 12G-11A-23P. And, yes, he did lead the session in shots again with 79. Thats 181 shots in the last two sessions! Big shout out to Mitchell, who grabbed third-star honours in his first full session with 8G-8A-16P. Oliver tied for third star with 7G and 9A. In net, Chris recovered nicely from last weeks outing with an outstanding .843 with one shutout. Nathan reaffirmed his status as Burtons best big-volume goaltender with 126 saves and a shutout to notch a respectable .824. Stefan tried to get a VRH session going this weekend, but the response was a bit underwhelming from the regulars. Lets hope for better next week from them.
Useless Stats: The BUSH players have now caught the VRH players in scoring. Lee moves into third in scoring with 70 points, two behind Jason and fifteen behind Stefan. Seamus is fourth with 64 and Oliver is sixth with 52. Lee has 42 goals and Seamus 41 compared to Stefans 47. Oliver is fifth in assists, just one behind Joern and Bernie. Lee and Seamus are still a bit behind in sixth and seventh. Seamus vaults into the shot total lead with 241 ahead of Stefans 203. Lee is third at 182. Oliver is sixth at 125. Lee slips marginally to just fall behind Stefan in shooting percentage to fourth place. After a slight falter last week, Chris is almost back up to .800 for the season. Nathan and Chris easily the save column with 335 and 287, respectively. Chris leads Nathan in games goaltended, 21-20. Nathan becomes the first player to record multiple shutouts this year while Chris picks up his first shutout of the season. Lee is just five points behind Stefan and Jason in three-star points, 40-35. Seamus and Oliver are right behind in fourth and fifth. Lee passes Lorne for second in points-per-game while Seamus gets his PPG above three. Lee moves into second in GPG and fourth in APG. Lee has the highest scoring session of the year thus far with 28 points. Seamus 23 are good enough to tie for fifth. Lees 14 goals rank third this year, as do his 14 assists. Seamus 79 shots and Lees 67 shots are second and third-highest this year. Chris .843 and Nathans .824 are fourth and fifth-highest this year. Nathans 126 saves is the highest total this year, while Chris 113 rank third. On the all-time front, Oliver has retakes the all-time scoring lead from Lorne, 935-931. Lee passes Bernie for third in all-time scoring, and Seamus passes Justin for fifth. Seamus needs two points to reach 600 and thirteen points to pass Bernie. Lee moves to within 22 goals of Oliver for second all-time. Seamus ties Justin for fourth all-time in goals. Graeme needs ten goals to tie Dallas for fourteenth. Lee needs eleven assists to reach 300. Seamus passes Justin for fifth in assists; he is fifteen behind Lee. Graeme passes K.J. for eleventh in assists and is eleven behind Robert for tenth. Oliver needs sixteen shots to reach 1,900. Lee needs seventeen shots to reach 1,600. Seamus passes Stefan for fourth in all-time shots. Nathan ups his all-time save-percentage to .814, just one point behind K.J. for second all-time. Nathan also passes 2,000 saves, the third goalie to do so. Chris needs thirteen games to reach 200 games played. Graeme passes Simon for eleventh in games played. Nathan ties Justin and Joern for second in all-time shutouts with six. Chris is right behind with four. Lee becomes the second player to register 300 three-star points. Oliver ties Justin for third in that category with 260 with Seamus just five points behind them. Lee and Seamus each have three consecutive ten-goal sessions. Seamus ties Justin for fourth in ten-assist sessions with eight. Seamus passes Justin for fourth in 15-pointers. Mitchell registers his first 15-pointer in his first full session. Seamus and Lee each have three consecutive 15-pointers. Seamus passes Oliver for second in 20-pointers with 13 while Lee ties Oliver now for third. Lee has back-to-back 20-pointers. Lee ties Seamus for third in all-time 25-pointers with five. This is Seamus ninth consecutive BUSH session. Chris and Nathan have the two longest streaks of 80-save sessions at thirteen and six, respectively. Nathan ties his previous record streak of five straight 90-save sessions. He also has four straight 100-save sessions (Chris has four total 100-save sessions). Not only is Nathan the only goalie to ever go back-to-back with 110-save sessions, this is the third time hes gone back-to-back. Nathan ties Laird for most 120-save sessions with five. On the SDF, Jason celebrates six consecutive sessions on top. Lee is now trailing Lorne by just a razor-thin margin for second. On the GDF, Nathan reigns for a second consecutive sessions while Chris moves up to third and Lairds inactivity causes him to slip to seventh. These rankings, of course, all hinge upon VRH not playing AGAIN next week. Dont forget those Records and Honours, and BUSH seems to have their stuff together right now; lets hope VRH can get on the same page and organize a session here soon (its been over a month!).
