Even back in the supposed year-2000 salad days of Burton Hockey, never had a weekend triple-header been pulled off. This weekend, the BUSH crew did it with flying colours. Lee provides a short recap of the end of the busiest weekend in Burton history, on what may be the biggest week in Burton history:

A four game session to cap a momentous triple header. Seamus returns to goal, Justin continues his tear, and the Orr brothers light it up again.
Series 1: Lee - Steve - Justin vs. KJ - Graeme - Seamus
Game 1: 5-3 Lee
Game 2: 5-4 KJ
High volume of shots in fast action, free wheeling games.
Series 2: Lee - Graeme - Justin vs. KJ - Steve - Watson - Seamus
Game 1: 5-2 Lee.
Game 2: 5-3 Lee.
In game 2 Seamus and KJ switched positions (goalie - forward) but it made little difference. Once again the power of Scotland was overwhelming for the Irish, with great passing from Team Orr leading the way to victory.

Thanks, Lee. What a weekend! Lee led scoring in every session, capping the three-day bonanza with 10G-6A-16P-55S. Graeme shows why he is the most improved player in the league this year by coming right behind his brother in scoring with 9G-6A-15P-49S. Despite playing a game in net, K.J. still easily picked up third star with 8G-2A. In his second session, and with a better stick, Steve's shot count was much better at almost ten shots-per-game. In net, Justin, as mentioned, continues his tear, stopping 70 shots en route to .843. Seamus was also huge, stopping almost as many shots as Justin while playing one less game en route to an .829. K.J. was a bit his usual self in his one game in goal at .762.

Useless Stats: Lee is moving into some heady territory here. 245 points and 145 goals in a season have not been seen in Burton since 2000, and Lee's taken a lot fewer games to get there. He has played in all 76 league games this season. Seamus is 20 points away from 200. Graeme has now set a new career high in points with 114; he is now 18 points behind Stefan for fourth in Burton scoring this year. He also leapfrogs Lorne and Oliver to moves into fourth in goals. Lee reaches 100 assists for the first time. Graeme passes 50 assists and is two behind Bernie for fifth. Lee becomes the second player to record 700 shots in a year. Graeme moves into fourth in season shots and is 32 shots behind the vacationing Oliver for third. K.J. jumps into seventh in goals. Justin moves into third in games goaltended. K.J. and Graeme tie Oliver for fourth in three-star points. Seamus moves into first in saves-per-game. Lee widens the gap big-time on the SDF while Graeme moves up to seventh and Laird's inactivity drops him from third to thirteenth. Justin continues his dominance on the GDF, but one more game from Seamus would give him the full amount of games required for full value and make it a two-way race.

On the all-time front: Lee becomes the third player in Burton history to pass 800 points. Graeme needs eight points for 300. Seamus needs 12 goals for 400. Lee is one assist behind Lorne for second all-time. Lee passes Oliver for second in shots. K.J. passes 250 goals and 1,000 shots; he needs 16 points for 300. Justin needs six assists for 300. K.J. falls to third in save percentage behind Nathan. Justin reaches 100 games goaltended. Graeme enters the top 15 in three-star points. Lee now has the highest scoring season Burton Hockey has seen in six years (fifth-highest ever-so far!), and the second highest season goal total ever. He ties Lorne's 2000 record of three-star points in a year with 180. Lee records his 30th ten-goal session and has now played 16 consecutive sessions. Other active streaks: Seamus, 7; Graeme, 6; Justin, 5. Check out the Records and Honours page before you go. These are exciting times, folks!
