No rest for the wicked in Burton, as Lee brings you seven games of goodness:

A spontaneous Sunday session saw Laird return to goal and put his 1.000 save % on the line.
Game 1: Lee Justin Nathan vs. Seamus - Graeme Mitch Laird 5-0 Team Lee. With each goalie holding 10SO, Laird comes in rusty and Lee and Justin waste no time lighting him up. On the other end Nathan records 3 SO in a ROW.
Game 2: Seamus Justin Laird vs. Lee Graeme Mitch Nathan 5-3 Team Seamus. Despite the score, Seamus and Justin dominate providing the 5th completely lopsided game in a row.
Game 3: Seamus Lee Graeme Laird vs. Justin KJ Mitch Nathan 5-1 Team Seamus. Nathan plays great in a loss, stopping 30 shots, but team Justin is simply overwhelmed, being outshot 35 17.
Game 4: Seamus Lee Mitch Laird vs. Justin KJ Graeme Nathan 5-1 Team KJ. Again we change the teams in search of something even, and fail. A bad stretch of hockey to be sure.
Game 5: 5-3 Team Seamus. Playing much of the session 2 on 2, younger brothers vs. old brother Lee and Seamus, of course, prevail.
Game 6: 5-1 Team KJ. Laird gets hung out to dry and the game ends quickly. Lee snaps and attacks Nathan with a hockey stick, slashing his legs, ass and back after Nathan makes a particularly spectacular save, and holding Lee scoreless for almost 2 games.
Game 7: Seamus Justin Mitch - Laird vs. Lee KJ Graeme - Nathan 5-4 Team Lee. The best game of the night, by far. Perhaps one of the more competitive games we've played yet this year. The goalies were outstanding and everything was contested as everyone gave it all they've got. A real war of a session leaving everyone spent but ultimately happy with the last bit of hockey that was played. Despite this bad stretch of uneven hockey I can sense an evolution this year in BUSH where things are getting tighter and more competitive, positional play is more important and there are glimpses of some really good hockey to come.

Thanks, Lee. Lee's PPG was below three here, something you don't usually see anymore. Still, it was enough to give him the day over Justin with 13G, 7A on 68 shots compared to 8G, 11A on 61 shots. Had K.J. played the whole session, he probably would have nabbed first star; he netted 11G to go with 6A in his five games. Sharing third star is the rising Graeme with 7G, 10A. Seamus is working through a slump but still grabbed 15 points. In goal, Burton's two most renowned goalies battled it out, with Nathan taking the day with another awesome session including another shutout and a percentage of .863. Can there be doubt at this point who the greatest goalie of all time is in Burton Hockey? No one combines the stats and save percentage with the sheer volume and scintillating saves of Nathan. With apologies to K.J., Seamus, Chris and the first season of Lyle, the only other goalie to come close for any sustained period of time would have to be the second half of the career of Laird, who was also impressive in his first full session in the McCormack net this year with .827.

Useless Stats: It wont be too long before Lee has a lead of 100 points or more in the scoring race; as of now, it is 279 to 195 over Seamus. Graeme passes Stefan for fourth. K.J. rockets from eleventh to eighth in scoring (passing the 50-goal mark), and Justin is now knocking on the door of the top ten. Graeme passes Oliver for fifth in goals and third in shots. Laird moves to third in save percentage. Nathan passes 1,000 saves! Nathan and Graeme pass the Koth-Kappii to move to third and fourth in games played this year. Lee becomes the first player to pass 200 three-star points in a season. Graeme ties Oliver for third in three-star points, and K.J. ties Stefan for fifth. Justin now has enough points to officially claim the season's highest PPG, which suddenly raises the possibility of him taking the PPG and save percentage title in the same season. K.J. moves ahead of brother Seamus into fourth in GPG. Lee's 68 shots are the fourth-highest session total this year. Nathan's .863 is the fifth-best session this year. Nathan's 161 saves ranks as the second-highest total this year; Laird's 124 rank fourth. Lee, Justin and K.J pull away from the pack on the SDF while Graeme moves to a career-high fourth. Lots of VRH guys falling this week due to inactivity. Another outstanding session from Nathan moves him back ahead of Justin to first on the GDF with the seventh-highest rating of all time over ten sessions at .842.

On the all-time front: Justin is now eleven points behind Bernie for fifth all-time. K.J. becomes the tenth Burton player to pass 400 points. Graeme becomes the 13th player to pass 300, and passes Joe for 12th all-time (he is nine behind Robert for 11th). Seamus needs six goals for 400; he is 17 behind Oliver for third. K.J. is four goals behind Bernie for seventh. K.J. passes Dustin Marchischuk for fourth in all-time shooting percentage. Laird becomes the first goalie to pass 3,000 saves. Justin is twelve games behind Lorne for fourth all-time. Nathan needs one game for 200; K.J. needs 15. Laird passed Chris for the lead in games goaltended. Nathan takes the all-time lead in shutouts from Laird. Justin ties Oliver for fourth in three-star points. Lee now has the third-highest single-season point total ever, the second-highest goal total and fifth-highest assist total. Lee needs 43 to break the single-season shot record. Seamus has the fifth-highest single-season shot total ever. Nathan breaks the 1,000-save-in-a-season mark for the second time and is 61 saves from breaking his own record. Lee has his third straight ten-goal session and fourth straight 15-pointer (remember, only full sessions, i.e. four games, count for point streaks). Seamus ties Oliver for third in all-time 15-pointers. Laird records his 20th 80-save session, and Nathan his 19th. Nathan breaks the record for 130-save sessions with his fifth. Lee ties Bernie's streak from earlier this year for the eight-longest consecutive session streak ever (18). Seamus' goes to nine, Graeme's to eight and Justin's to seven. Lee is now well within each of Lorne's single season scoring record of 325, perhaps three sessions away. Check out the Records and Honours page before you go.
