Team Seamus takes both, although the second game was much closer after Joe made the switch to new blades, the first pair of which he had on backward.

An outstanding series that went the distance every game. Comebacks were the order of the day, with almost every game starting as a blowout and then coming down to the wire. Shem stood on his head in the last game in particular, as Team Seamus had numerous chances, crossbars, etc. A great series.

Series 3: Lee – Troy – Nathan – Shem vs. Seamus – Graeme – Lyle
Game 1: 5-1 Team Lee
Joe was finished but the rest had one more game. The combination of Lee and Troy quickly tallied a few goals and Troy buried the winner on a wrap-around to seal the game.

Thanks, Lee. Troy’s return after a month-long absence was quite successful, as he potted a 20-pointer (11G-9A) to take Burton Hockey's 201st session by one point over Lee (8G-11A) and two over third star Seamus (11G-7A). Lee managed 66 shots in just six games. Golden Joe would have been pretty close had he played the final game with 10G-4A in just five games. Shem was on fire in goal with an excellent .836 on 107 saves. Lyle made 108 saves and finished at .788.

Season Stats: With 574 points this, year, Lee could conceivably hit 600 points and have a 200-point cushion over second place by the end of the year. Troy passes Lorne for ninth in points. Seamus needs one point for 100 on the year, and Graeme enters the top 20 in scoring. Troy passes K.J. for sixth in goals and is 14 behind Stefan for fifth. He also passes Pat for eighth in shots. Lyle passes Joern for third in saves and needs 83 for 1,000. Lee needs five games for 200 on the year. Lyle passes Lorne and Dom for fourth in games goaltended. Troy passes K.J. for sixth in three-star points and is five behind Stefan for fifth. Shem ties Bron for the lead in goalie star points and for fifth in total star points; Troy moves to seventh in total star points. Troy moves over 3.00 PPG. Troy passes Scott and Lee for fourth in GPG.

On the All-Time Front: Seamus passes Bernie for fifth in points and is just two points away from becoming the fifth players to reach the hallowed 1,000 point mark. Graeme needs one point for 500. Troy passes Ryan Disterheft for 18th. Nathan becomes the 36th player with 100 points. Lee is three points away from doing what was once considered impossible-tie Lorne for the all-time goal lead (843). Lee also becomes the second player to record 700 assists. Seamus is nine assists behind Stefan for fifth all-time. Lyle becomes the seventh goalie with 2,000 career saves. Nathan passes Chris Jackins for twelfth in games played; Troy becomes the 26th player to play 100 games. Shem passes Seamus for ninth in games goaltended. Seamus is ten three-star points behind Oliver for fourth all-time. Shem ties Seamus for seventh in goalie star points. Seamus ties Stefan for fourth in 15-pointers with 33. Troy has five in a row; Lee has three. Seamus ties K.J. for fifth in ten-goal sessions with 24; Joe records his first ever. Lee becomes the second player (after Oliver) to record 25 ten-assisters. Shem has eight consecutive 80-savers, the second-longest streak ever, while Lyle has four. Shem has a record seven straight 90-savers; Lyle has four. Both are tied for fourth all-time in 100-savers with eight. Shem has three straight 100-savers; Lyle two. Lee plays his 27th consecutive session. Kyle’s streak ends at six. Lee needs 26 points to become the first player to score 600 points in a season; 14 goals to becomes the first player to score 300 in a season; and ten goals to becomes the first to score 300 assists in a season. Lee becomes the first player to make 1,500 shots on goal in a season. His 195 games played is the fourth-highest total for a single season ever. Lee ties the record for three-star and total star points in a single season with 295, matching his 2006 season. Shem has tied the record for most goalie star points in a season with 145.

SDF/GDF: SDF is status quo on top with Pat on top for an eighth straight session and 21st overall (tied with Lee for third-most ever), with the biggest move coming from Joe as he moves into the top ten. Golden Joe remains on top of the GDF but will fall off two rankings from now if he doesn’t play goal soon. Shem moves closer to the top of the chart, and Lyle’s recent activity moves him back into the top five.
