VRH was back at it on Sunday after a week off to help aching bodies and mentally fatigued fans heal. This day would be the day on which stars would align for a certain Filipino who would win every game he played.

So yes, Sunday saw Vincent Garcia play more than his usual 2-3 games and put up his highest session point total yet (I think?) getting either 4 or 5 points in 4 of the 5 games he played. Not to be lost in the shuffle was the return of Alex, and Jordan Barlow. Alex, who hadn't played in a while to spend time rebuilding his car, put up some solid numbers and got progressively better as the session continued. Jordan on return from Europe reminded us all what it meant to play against a man with a giant stick.

We started the session with the oft dangerous Oliver, Jordan B, Vincent combination with Dom in net, up against Jordan D, Bernie, Andrew. Sam and Alex. The chemistry was evident immediately for Team Dom, with beautiful tic-tac-toe passes on almost every goal. Despite Andrew’s best efforts in both games, the series was easily taken 2-0 by Team Dom.

Sticks in the middle produced Andrew, Sam, Vincent and Alex against the rest. Vincent was again on fire, this time connecting nicely with Andrew to blow out this series 2-0 as well. The second game of this series saw both Vincent and Andrew point out.

For the final game of the day, sticks were thrown and then were altered)to give us Andrew with the Jordans and Dom take on. Alex stood on his head stopping 38/41 shots to help his team go on to win 5-3. This was by far the worst game for Vincent with only 2 points, who up until this point was averaging 4.5 points per game. Luckily he didn't need to be on, as Sam and Oliver provided most of the offense in the game. Another fun sunny day at the beach. Let’s hope for more to come in the following weeks. Lastly, in the words of Vincent via Twitter: @BurtonHockey I'm Wayne Gretzky biatch.

Thanks, Stef (finally!). Wow. A massive break-out session for Vincent. To this point, his career-best session had been just 5 – yes, five - points, and had never placed higher than seventh in a single session (and that was in a session with seven skaters). He blew that out of the water today, average 4.00 PPG en route to 20 points (9G-11A) to take a heroic first star and show the world what he’s truly capable of. Oliver, Andy and Sam were battling for second all day; Andy would take it by a point with (7G-10A) over Oliver (9G-7A) and Sam (7G-9A), with Barlow not far behind at 14. In goal, Burton’s two most experienced goaltenders resumed their epic rivalry, with Alex in net for the first time since the Super Session. He was once again excellent at .850 ahead of Dom’s .825. It’s Alex’s record-tying tenth straight .800 session. Every single game today finished with a score of 5-3.

Here are the game scores:
Oliver Barlow Vincent Dom def. Bernie Downey Andrew Sam Alex 5-3 5-3
Andrew Sam Vincent Alex def. Oliver Barlow Jordan Bernie 5-3 5-3
Oliver Vincent Sam Bernie Alex def. Andrew Barlow Downey 5-3
