It was a warm sunny September Sunday that featured solid numbers, three relatively even & intense series, a couple of big comebacks, and some solid goaltending (Dom hitting his stride near the middle of the session and Sam hitting his near the end with an insane last game in which he made 40 saves). Sorry for the short write-up but I have little time as I'm off to Europe tomorrow. See you all in a few weeks!

Thanks, Bernie; hopefully you and Oliver will run into some of our favourite Burton Hockey ex-pats over there. It was another resounding scoring win for Andy, as he led the day handily in all offensive categories: 12G, 14A, 26P, 56 shots. Behind him, a three-way tie for second between Jordan (9G-8A), Eric (8G-9A), and Darrel in his first session of the year (7G-10A). Ondrej had four of his six points in his final game. In goal, it was a closely-contested battle, with seven more saves for Dom being the difference as he edged Sam .791-.779.

Game Scores:

Season Stats: Not much to say on the seasonal side of things with Andrew and Oliver comfortably 1-2 in points… Jordan passes Bernie for seventh and trails Lee by eight for sixth, 201-193… Oliver passes Marcus for third in goals, 137-133… Jordan leaps into seventh in goals with 87… Bernie ties Tony for fourth in assists with 109 but Jordan is right behind at 106… Eric trails Lee for eighth in assists, 91-90… Sam becomes the third goalie to make 1,500 saves this year…

SDF/GDF: The loss of Day 2 of the May long weekend supersession (finally) combined with a continued lack of action from BUSH throws the entire GDF into upheaval… Most notably, Kyle loses his massive session win AND falls below the session minimum at the same time, ending his streak of rankings led at ten and sending him down to sixth… Andrew retakes the top for a 14th time narrowly over Lee, with Terryn, Marcus and K.J. following… James suddenly finds himself in the top ten for the first time; Eric returns to the top ten as well… Biggest fall from the top ten goes to Ryan Bateman, who falls from ninth to 17th… Alex’s amazing Day 2 from the last supersession falls off, but he still has a healthy SDF lead over Dom. It’s his record 13th ranking led in a row and his 29 rankings led all time ties him with Justin for second… Ryan Bateman falls from third to ninth, bringing Mitch Zorn to third and Sam to fourth.
