Thanks, Bern. Once again, the day’s action belonged to the goaltenders. Even in losing three of the four games, Bron was simply phenomenal with 117 saves in just four games en route to .867 (that’s back-to-back sessions over .865 this week for Mr. Mach). Justin made his long-threatened VRH goaltending debut and was back to his old ways with an excellent .845. On the scoresheet, Stefan was the only skater over 3.00 PPG with 7G-6A. Tony finished two points behind at 5G-6A, and Sam snagged third star with 6G-3A. The shot counts from Rob and Sam were insane tonight (50 and 46, respectively).

Season Stats: With none of the other leading scorers in action, Rob moves back ahead of Andrew for the lead, 83-79... Stefan still has some work to do to get into the top five but he does jump from ninth to sixth at 34 followed by Sam at 31 and Tony and Bernie at 28... Rob also takes the goal scoring lead over Andrew, 41-35; Sam moves up to sixth at 17... Andy still holds a share of the assist lead with Rob at 44 apiece... Tony and Dom falls from first and second to fourth and fifth in shooting percentage, giving the lead back to Darrel... Bon solidifies his goaltending lead at .869 while Justin jumps up to fifth at .821... Bron passes Stuart for third in saves, 253-219, with Justin fifth at 142... Rob leads Bernie in games played, 33-30, followed by Dom (29), Ryan (25), and Sam (24)... Still not shutouts this year... Stefan, Tony, and Sam all join the cluster of people at 20 three-star points, which ties them all for third... Bron ties Stuart for third in goalie star points at 30; Justin is fifth at 15... Sam passes Dom for second in total star points and now trails Andrew for the lead, 60-55... Dom enters the top five in GPG... Sam and Rob fall out of the top five in APG, replaced by Tony and Ryan... Sam jumps to second in shots-per-game at 9.50... Bron passes Justin for the lead in saves-per-game at a stunning 28.11... Bron’s .867 is tied for third-best session of the season in goal, while Justin’s .845 ranks fifth... Bron’s 117 saves are the second-highest total of the year, while his 984 PPS ranks third.

SDF/GDF: Big changes on the rankings this week... Sam’s third-place finish today was enough to drop him behind Andy, who takes the top position for the 27th time... Tony crosses over the session minimum and jumps up eight spots to third, while enters the top 12... If you’re wondering why Stefan didn’t rocket up toward the top, that’s because the session that fell off from last September has pretty much the same result for him, so winning today was all he could do to stay even... Two sessions after handing the GDF lead to Dom, Bron takes it back with force, and his lead is commanding (.8694-.8390 over Dom). Justin also jumps up to fifth place; five goalies are over the .8200 mark, which is a testament to the strong goaltending of VRH.
