-Difficulty organizing session scale: 9.2/10 (session had already been canceled, then uncanceled, and went right down to the wire in the morning waiting on some late confirmations)
-Ocean water quality scale: 1/10 (highly toxic bunker fuel spill in Burrard Inlet)
-Glorious sunshine scale: 8/10 (Mulgrave's Meteorologic Service proved superior over less reputable sources such as Environment Canada and the Weather Network, with mostly sunny weather predominating)
-Temperature scale: 9/10 (temps were in the near perfect range, right around 12 degrees)
-Perfect number of players scale: 6/10 (one sub for the first 3 games, then no subs for the last two)
-New players scale: 0/10
-Return of long absent regulars scale: 7/10 (Tony makes his return after nearly a half-year away travelling)
-Evenness of teams/series scale: 8/10 (one blowout, but the rest of the games were about as close as it gets with three going to sudden death)
-Session intensity scale: 6/10 (very intense session to start, but trailed off a bit as people tired towards the end)
-Session openness / offensiveness scale: 7/10 (fair amount of breaks)
-Domination by one player scale: 4/10 (very even today, though Darrel was a goals scoring machine)
-Exceptional goaltending performance scale: 7.5/10 (Dom was phenomenal to start and really turned it on in the latter part of the session Stu)
-Length of session scale: 7.5/10 (most games and longest session of the year; everyone was pretty close to exhausted after the 5th game) Fun of session scale: 8/10 (everyone was glad we made it out today and much fun was had)
-Chance of future sessions in coming weeks scale: 8/10 (with statsman Kyle in town for the next couple weekends, look for a session on Sunday the 19th and hopefully the next weekend as well)

Thanks, Bern! As VRH starts to get into a groove early in this 2015 season, the sessions are getting longer and scores are getting higher. The three stars were clear today, with defending scoring champion Darrel leading the way with 13G in the five games en route to 18P, besting the Kloppster (8G-9A) by a single point. Andy Smart was back to his assisting way with 11A today, snatching third star with 15P. In goal, Stu posts the first shutout in Burton Hockey this year as he goes over the century mark with 108 saves en route to an .857 session. 41 of those saves were in Game 2 alone. In the other net, Dom posted .816 on 93 saves.

Game Scores:

Season Stats: More leaderboard movement as Stefan (38), Darrel (37), Andy (33), and Tom (28) continue to pull away, although their positions in the top five change as the now-absent Sam slides from second to fifth... Darrel opens up a lead on Stefan in goalscoring, 24-18, followed by Tom at 16 and Andrew at 12... Andy ties Stefan for the assist lead with 21, well ahead of Darrel at 13 and Tom and Sam at 12 apiece... Darrel takes the shots-on-goal lead from Andy, 114-110, while Stefan and Tom are tied behind them at 88. Rob moves into the top five at 58... Rob plummets from the top of the shooting percentage chart as Darrel is now the only player above 20%... The gap in save percentage comes way down as Dom now only leads Stu by .847-.837... Stu takes the lead in saves from Dom, 252-243... With Tom missing the last series, this leaves six players (Stefan, Bernie, Andrew, Stuart, Darrel, and Dominik) that have played every game this year... Stu posts the first shutout of the season... Three-star points are a mess with Darrel (30) barely ahead of Stefan (25)... Dom leads Stu in goalie star point, 40-30; Dom also leads in total star points with the same score... Darrel joins Stefan in the 3.00 PPG club... Darrel jumps up to 2.00 GPG... Darrel takers the shots-per-game lead from Andy, 9.50-9.17.., Rob moves into fifth in shots-per-game at 7.25... Darrel's 13 goals easily mark as the top session output this year, while Stefan's eight goals rank second... Andrew also sets a new season session high with 11 assists, with Stefan's nine assists ranking second... The top three session shot totals this year (Darrel, 54; Andrew, 43; Rob, 40) come from today as well... Stu's .857 is the third-best mark this year... Stu sets a season high with 108 saves, while Dom's 93 saves rank second... Stu has the best PPS of the year so far at 965, while Dom's 909 ranks fifth.

SDF/GDF: Andrew falls short in his bid to reclaim the top spot on the SDF, as third place today left him just behind Seamus, who claims the top spot for the 17th time. Previous leader Ryan Bateman falls under the session minimum and loses large lead, but still sits in third. Tom continues his rise as he reaches a career-high fourth. The top eight are all bunched close together... Bron continues the lead the GDF and should do so handily for another session before his appearances begin to fall off. He ties Alex Elischer for second with his 35th ranking led, just one behind Seamus O'Connor for the all-time lead. Speaking of Seamus, he's the latest victim of BUSH inactivity as he drops from second to seventh. K.J. moves into second, followed by Stu, who just passes ahead of Dom.
