-New players scale: 7/10 (one new player: BH's first Craigslist recruit ended up being a solid addition)
-Return of long absent regulars scale: 7/10 (Bron make's his return after backstopping the Master Bladers to a league championship)
-Evenness of teams/series scale: 6/10 (a couple lopsided affairs but pretty even overall)
-Session intensity scale: 6/10 (intense but also perhaps slightly more open than usual)

-Domination by one player scale: 5/10 (fairly even today; Tom & Darrel were a potent combo in a few of the games)

-Epicness of Games Scale: 4.5/10 (Game 1 was a long epic 5-4 battle)

-Length of session scale: 7/10 (another 5 games over close to 3 hours)
-Fun of session scale: 6/10 (always fun to get out there despite the heat)
-Chance of future sessions in coming weeks scale: 6.5/10 (good numbers overall and multiple goalie options)

Thanks, Bern! On the day when Bernie becomes the all-time games played leader in the history of Burton Hockey with 1,550 games played, Ambleside gave us a farily even scoring battle. Ryan narrowly took the day with 7G-7A, besting both Tom (8G-5A) and Darrel (7G-6A) by a single point. Also in double-digits today were Rob and Markus in his first full session of the year. Stefan and the debuting liam were right behind at 9P each. The legendary Hall of Famer Bron returned to his perch and picked up right where he left off last year with .855 on 112 saves. Stu lost a little ground in his quest to become VRH's all-time leader in save percentage but was still very solid at .806.

Season Stats: Please note that these summaries are being written without the benefit of having received the BUSH stats from 17 May (Ed. Note: it's the 23rd as I write this, and there's only so long we can wait. If they ever arrive, they arrive, but it's too late for this write-up)... Stefan holds a six point lead over Darrel, 78-72, while Tom closes in on the absent Andy for third, 62-58... Darrel opens up his goalscoring lead even further, 44-34 over new second-place man Tom, who passes Stefan (31)... Ryan and Rob pass Neil Spencer for fifth in goals, 18-18-17... Stefan opens up an eight-assist lead on Andrew, 47-39, as the top six pull away from the rest of the pack... Darrel leads Stefan in shots on goal, 233-211. Andrew falls to third, followed closely by Rob and Tom... Tom ties Neil for the lead in shooting percentage at just over 20 percent, while Markus enters the top five... Dom leads Bron in save percentage, .859-.855, with Stu in third at .837... Dom barely hangs onto the seasons save lead over Stu, 611-605... With Dom absent, this leaves Stu, Stefan, and Bernie s the only players to have played in every game this year (for Stu, he's the only one to have goaltended every game this year). Darrel leads Dom 27-26 for fourth in games played... Darrel leads Andrew in three-star points, 55-40... Tom passes Neil for fourth in three-star points, 30-25... Tom narrowly falls behidn Andy for third in PPG, 2.77-2.76... Ryan enters the top five in APG... Darrel jumps from fourth to second in shots-per-game ahead of Andrew and Tom at 8.63... Bron debuts second in saves-per-game at 22.40... Tom's eight goals tie for the fourth-highest session total of the year so far... Stefan's eight assists tie for fifth-best this year... Darrel's 46 shots are fourth-highest in sessions this year... Bron's 112 saves and 997 PS both ranks third in sessions this year.

SDF/GDF: Neil Spencer and Andrew Smart are solidly 1-2 on the SDF for the second straight week. Darrel moves one spot ahead of the absent Sam to fourth. Markus is just under the session minimum now and moves into the top ten... Dom's stay atop the GDF is a short one as Bron returns to take back first place for the 38th time.

All-Time Session Milestones & Streaks

On the All-Time Front: Stefan needs four points for 2,100... Darrel is 15 points behind Eric Coutinho for 23rd... Ryan is five goals behind Andrew for 13th... Stefan is just eight assists from 1,000... Ryan reaches 450 assists... As aforementioned, Bernie is now the all-time Burton Hockey games-played leader, passing his brother Oliver 1,550-1,545. Bernie is unlikely to give this up for quite some time... Rob is three games behind K.J. O'Connor for tenth in games played... Stu is nine games behind Lorne Bilinski for 13th in games goaltended... Bron ties Seamus for second in .800s with 34, and he extends his consecutive .800 record to 14... Bron is one .810 behind Seamus with 32, and sets a new consecutive .810s record with 13... Bron has four .820s in a row and ties Justin Gordon for fourth in .830s with 19, including three in a row... Bron ties Alex and Justin for third in .840s with 16... Bron has three straight .850s... Stu ties Laird Bilinski for seventh in 80-savers with 22. Stu has ten in a row, which is the fourth-longest streak in history... Stu's .810 streak, however, end at nine, the third-longest streak ever... Stu's .820 streak ends at six; his .830 streak ends at four, and his .840 streak ends at two... Bron records his 36th 80-save session, one behind Alex Elischer for second... Bron records his 25th 100-save session, his 20th 110-saver, and has back-to-back 110 savers... Stu's 80-saver streak goes to nine... The epic consecutive sessions-played streak of Dom Voser ends at 31 sessions dating back to 9 March 2013; the seventh-longest streak ever. Fortunately, Bernie's got a pretty healthy streak on the rise with 24 in a row. Stu's streak goes to twelve, Stefan's goes to eleven.
