For the first time ever in his five seasons of VRH, Griff Jones triumphs over everyone as the first star with 6G-7A, besting his frequent partner in crime Sam Lam by a point. Prior to this session, Griff’s best finish in a session was third. Two points back of Sam were Rob and Ian, who tied for third; these are the second career star points in three sessions for Ian. Season Stats: Stefan extends his season scoring lead over the absent Ryno to 151-118. Ryno, in fact, has now been caught by Darrel who is also at 118 and looks to be Stefan’s main rival for the scoring title for the rest of the season… The end of the Arena League and the protracted absence of BUSH means the Nakusp-based players will start falling back down the charts, and Andrew has moved to knock K.J. and Kyle down a spot each as he moves back into the top five at 93… Rob is one point behind Kyle, 88-87… Bernie passes Ryan Bateman for tenth, 70-67… Darrel also ties Ryno for second in goals with 62, while Rob ties Kyle for sixth at 42… Andrew passes Ryno to move into third in assists, one behind Oliver at 63-62… Darrel also ties Ryno in assists with 56, while Rob moves from ninth to seventh… The shot battle heats up even more as Stefan takes the lead from Ryno, 349-343, with Darrel right with them at 338… Andrew and Rob dump Oliver and Kyle out of the top ten in shots… Bron passes Brodie for third in saves, 513-505… Darrel climbs from eighth to fourth in games played with 51… Bron jumps to third in games goaltended at 28, trailing Dom (49) and Stuart Hall (42)… Bron sits fourth in shutouts with two… Rob moves into sole possession of sixth in three-star points with 50… Dom becomes the first goalie with 100 goalie star points this year, followed by Brodie at 70 and new third-place man Bron at 65… Dom trails K.J. for the lead in total star points, 110-100; Bron is tied with Kyle for fourth at 65… Rob hands the PPG lead back to Tony, 2.82-2.81… Likewise, Andrew gives up the APG lead to Tony, 1.77-1.72… Bron falls from first to third in saves-per-game behind Laird and Brodie at 18.32

SDF/GDF: K.J. leads his tenth SDF ranking (putting him eighth all-time) and at this rate will remain unchallenged until his sessions begin dropping off; eight of those ten rankings led have been in a row… The absence of Nick Jornitz sees him begin to fall down the ranking as he plummets from second to 28th with just one session left on the ranking. In his absence, Kyle moves up two spots to second… Also dropping from the top five due to inactivity is former ironman Oliver, who will be excluded from an SDF ranking for the first time in the history of Burton Hockey next session… Griff’s shocking win rockets him up the rankings from 47th all the way to ninth… Andy’s off session drops him down to tenth, while Tony, and Darrel re-enter the top ten… Bron stays atop of the GDF for a second straight week; his 13th ranking led all-time… Dom had an average session today but it was still enough to moves him ahead of Stuart and Brodie into second place thanks to a poor session from May dropping off.
