Updated Lineups Heading Into Championship

Vancouver Roller Hockey (VRH) announced a solid provisional lineup today in advance of Burton Championship Weekend this week. Eleven players have been confirmed to be suiting up against the defending Fuller Cup champions from Burton United Socialist Hockey (BUSH).

CONFIRMED: Jordan Barlow, Eric Coutinho, Alex Elischer, Pat Elischer, Rob Hajdu, Tony Hajdu, Bernie Koth-Kappus, Oliver Koth-Kappus, Sam Lam, Bron Mach, Dominik Voser

POSSIBLE: Marcus Keighron, Andrew Smart

Over on the defending Fuller Cup champion BUSH side, the lineup has shrunk a bit during the past month, with just seven players now confirmed to suit up in the Lower Mainland. All of the 'maybes' and 'possiblys' are now out, leaving the following bare-bones lineup:

CONFIRMED: Ben de Wit, Justin Gordon (A), K.J. O'Connor, Seamus O'Connor (A), Colby Olsen, Graeme Orr, Lee Orr (C)

The numerical advantage right now is solidly in favour of the home team. It will be intriguing to see how this plays out come Saturday.

BUSH's crew have arrived with all of six players (Justin bailed on the games and the concert for an extended stay in Toronto). The Osborne Centre at UBC is not available tomorrow. It looks like it's a wet day at Ambleside for all!

Based upon the current weekend forecast, there is now a movement afoot to book Gym F at UBC's Osborne Centre (concrete surface, frequently used by ball hockey leagues). Dom suggested it and Ben is looking into it. If it means everyone chipping five bucks in, I don't think there will be too much of an objection.

Got my stick setting up in the clamps at work. Will be shaping it tomorrow.

I think Andrew Smart is also a possible.
