Dominik Voser Becomes All-Time Save Leader

With 117 saves today, VRH stalwart goaltender Dominik Voser became the all-time save leader in Burton Hockey history with 4,162, dethroning previous recordholder Laird Bilinski.

Traditionally, the record has always been closely fought, as Bilinski, Chris Jackins and Nathan Robson have traded the record back-and-forth over the past few years. What makes today's accomplishment special is just how quickly Dom has risen through the ranks: it's taken him just sixteen months since his first session last June to make it to the top (compare that to Laird's eleven seasons). This is a testament to Dom's skill, durability and week-in-week-out dedication to playing goal. Because of the durability and dedciation of Voser, it appears likely that he will take this records into the stratosphere over the next few years, and it will likely be years before anyone else catches him. In fact, the only person headed in that direction is the 2010 rookie he faces up against nearly every week in the Ambleside nets, Alex Elischer. Having two dedicated goaltenders playing every session is a relatively new phenomenon to Burton Hockey, and it will ensure that Dom and Alex live on in the record book for a very long time. Congratulations to Dom on this incredible achievement!

congrats Dom! thats an amazing feat. Chris Laird and Nathan played a LOT of hockey for a long time. its scary to think where you might take these numbers. 10,000 saves? Your on track to be the first player into a 5 digit statistical category.
