2005 Year-End Award Winners Named, Seamus O'Connor

The 2005 Burton Hockey Awards were handed out today with Glenbank's Seamus O'Connor taking the Most Valuable Player honour for the second straight season, joining fellow Glenbanker Lee Orr as the only multiple recipients of the award. Dallas Sinclair received Most Outstanding Player for the second straight season, while defensive mainstay Oliver Koth-Kappus received his fifth Most Outstanding Defenseman Award in six years. Koth-Kappus took home another three honours, including Most Sportsmanlike, Ironman and Comeback Player of the Year. In goal, Laird Bilinski, splitting his season between BUSH and VRH, won his second Most Outstanding Goaltender trophy.

Both Bilinski brothers were named to the 1st All-Star Team, marking the sixth straight season Lorne Bilinski has been so honoured. Oliver Koth-Kappus returns to the team after missing last year's, while O'Connor and Sinclair round it out.
