To celebrate ten glorious seasons of Burton Hockey, Burton Hockey will be releasing its list of the 40 greatest names in Burton history all through December right here on BurtonHockey.com.
A panel of Burton Hockey veterans from both BUSH and VRH, including many of the names that will undoubtedly be near the top of the list, will be voting secretly over the next two weeks on the list. Each expert will nominate 40 players based on Commitment/Dedication, Skill, and Overall Influence; giving each player a grade out of 10 in each category. The ballots will then be added on 31 November 2009 to produce the final list of 40. All ballots are confidential in order to protect the integrity of the voting process. Players are NOT allowed to vote for themselves.
Beginning Tuesday, 1 December 2009, we'll count down here on the website, releasing two names each day for the first ten days and then one name each day after that until we reveal the final player on the list on New Year's Day 2010. Tune in each day in December to see who made the list! Each day will see a brand-new write-up posted for each player. This is certain to be an argument starter!
